2019 Stadium Super Trucks Series
The 2019 Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks Series was the seventh season of the Stadium Super Trucks series. Defending champion Matthew Brabham retained his title with a five-win season and a 54-point advantage over runner-up Robby Gordon. The 2019 season saw the return of the trucks to Australia to finish the year, ending a year-long ban on the series by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS). This eventually led to the creation of the Boost Mobile Super Trucks championship for the 2020 season. Stadium Super Trucks
The Stadium Super Trucks (SST), formerly known as Speed Energy Formula Off-Road, is an American short course off-road racing series created by off-road racer and former IndyCar and NASCAR driver Robby Gordon in 2013. Sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC) in America with title sponsorship from Gordon's Speed Energy brand, the series utilizes identical off-road trucks that originally competed primarily in American football stadiums, but in 2014 began racing mostly on street circuits and road courses, often in conjunction with the IndyCar Series race schedules. From 2015 to 2021, the series also raced in Australia in support of the Supercars Championship. William Hynes (born January 31, 1972) is an American professional auto racing driver and entrepreneur. He races full-time in the Stadium Super Trucks and has also competed in sports car and touring car racing. He is the founder and former CEO of United Fiber & Data, and has also overseen other business ventures such as Think Loud and 120 York. He is nicknamed "The Thrill". Early life Hynes was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on January 31, 1972. He attended Union Catholic Regional High School before moving to Hillside High School as a sophomore, though he returned to Union Catholic after getting involved in a fight. He graduated from Union Catholic in 1990. As a junior, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve as a military police officer.
