The 2019 Richmond Spiders football team represented the University of Richmond in the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by third-year head coach Russ Huesman and played their home games at E. Claiborne Robins Stadium. The Spiders were a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 5–7, 4–4 in CAA play to finish in a four-way tie for fifth place. Previous season The Spiders finished the 2018 season 4–7, 2–6 in CAA play to finish in a tie for tenth place. Preseason CAA poll In the CAA preseason poll released on July 23, 2019, the Spiders were predicted to finish in tenth place. Russ Huesman
Russell Frederick Huesman (born January 28, 1960) is an American football coach and former player. He was named head football coach at the University of Richmond on December 14, 2016 after spending eight years as head coach of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Spiders compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). Playing career A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Huesman played prep football at perennial power Moeller High School, where he lettered for four years under head coach Gerry Faust. He helped Moeller's team compile a record of 43–0–1 and win a pair of Ohio state championships. An all-city selection in football as a senior, Huesman signed a football scholarship with Chattanooga, where he started all four years as a defensive back (1978–1981) and was a two-sport athlete. The 2019 Villanova Wildcats football team represented Villanova University in the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Delaware Stadium is a 18,800-seat multi-purpose stadium in Newark, Delaware, and is home to the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team. The stadium is part of the David M. Orono, Maine
Orono () is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. Located on the Penobscot and Stillwater rivers, it was first settled by American colonists in 1774. Morse Field at Harold Alfond Sports Stadium is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Orono, Maine. The stadium opened as Alumni Field in 1947 and underwent extensive renovations from 1996 to 1998. It is home to the University of Maine Black Bears football team.
