2019 Purdue Boilermakers Football Team
The 2019 Purdue Boilermakers football team represented Purdue University during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Boilermakers played their home games at Ross–Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana and competed in the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. They were led by third-year head coach Jeff Brohm. They finished the season 4–8, 3–6 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for fifth place in the West Division. Previous season The 2018 Boilermakers team finished the season at 6–7, 5–4 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for second in the West Division. They were invited to the Music City Bowl where they were defeated by Auburn. The season was highlighted by a dominant, upset home victory over then-No. 2 Ohio State by a score of 49–20, which proved to be the Buckeyes' only loss on the year. Jeff Brohm
Jeffrey Scott Brohm (born April 24, 1971) is an American football coach and former quarterback, who is the current head football coach of the Louisville Cardinals. Brohm played college football at the University of Louisville for coach Howard Schnellenberger from 1989 to 1993 and played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons from 1994 to 2000 and the XFL in 2001. He has previously served as the head coach of the Western Kentucky Hilltopppers (2014–2016) and the Purdue Boilermakers (2017–2022). Brohm was born in Louisville, Kentucky. His father, Oscar, was a quarterback for Louisville and a high school football coach in Louisville. He attended Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Davidson Academy is a private Christian school located in Nashville, Tennessee. It has students ranging from K-3 to 12th grade. Reynoldsburg High School (RHS) is a public high school located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, United States, and the only high school in the Reynoldsburg City School District. George Karlaftis
George Karlaftis ( el, Γιώργος Ματθαίου Καρλάφτης; ; born 3 April 2001) is a Greek-born professional American football defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Athens and grew up as a multi-sport athlete playing football, track and field, basketball, and water polo, the latter of which he played with the Greek national team. Karlaftis and his family moved to the United States when he was 13.
