2019 Norwegian Athletics Championships
The 2019 Norwegian Athletics Championships ( no, NM i friidrett 2019) was the year's national outdoor track and field championships for Norway. It was held from 2–4 August at the Hamar Idrettspark in Børstad, Hamar Municipality. It was organised by FIK Orion and Hamar IL. The King's trophy was awarded to women's distance runner Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal and hurdler Karsten Warholm (who also set a championship record in the 400 metres sprint). Warholm became the first man to win the trophy five years in a row. Javelin thrower Egil Danielsen, who died shortly before the competition, was honoured in the opening ceremony and a statue was placed outside of the stadium in Hamar. Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. Idrettslaget Norna-Salhus is a Norwegian athletics club from Salhus in Åsane, Bergen It was founded on 14 October 1935. The club originally had an association football section as well, but it split away in 1987 to form FK Bergen Nord. Salum Ageze Kashafali (born 25 November 1993) is a visually impaired Norwegian Paralympic athlete competing in the T12-classification of sprinting events. He won the gold medal in the men's 100 metres T12 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. He also set a T12 world record of 10.43 seconds. This makes him the fastest Paralympian in the 100m ever, regardless of disability. Salum is visually impaired as a result of Stargardt disease. Sylte or Valldal is a village in Fjord Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is situated at the southern end of the Valldalen valley along the shore of the Norddalsfjorden near the mouth of the Valldøla river, just west of the entrance to the Tafjorden.
