The 2019 North Texas SC season was the first season for North Texas SC's existence, and their first in USL League One, the third tier of professional soccer in the United States and Canada. Background On November 2, 2018, it was announced by FC Dallas that Dallas would be granted a side to play in the newly created United Soccer League third division for 2019. North Texas Soccer Club is a professional soccer club playing in the MLS Next Pro, a third division league of American soccer. The team is owned by, and operates as the reserve team of the Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. While the senior club is based, and plays, in Frisco, Texas, North Texas SC as of 2020 is based in Arlington, Texas. It plays at Choctaw Stadium, the former home of the Texas Rangers baseball club. Michel Garbini Pereira (born 9 June 1981), commonly known as Michel, is a Brazilian footballer. Career Club Michel began his career at Atlético Mineiro, before moving to Belgian Pro League side Standard Liège in 2004. After two seasons, Michel returned to Brazil and signed with Campeonato Brasileiro Série A outfit Atlético Paranaense. Subsequently, he played for Náutico and Vila Nova. Bryan Keith Reynolds Jr. (born June 28, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a right-back for Belgian Pro League club Westerlo, on loan from Serie A club Roma, and the United States national team. Jesús David Ferreira Castro (born December 24, 2000) is a professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. Born in Colombia, he represents the United States national team. Ferreira moved from Colombia to Dallas, Texas at the age of 10 after his father, David Ferreira, signed with FC Dallas. He joined the club's youth side and progressed through the ranks before signing a homegrown contract in 2016. He scored his first professional goal on his debut in June 2017 against Real Salt Lake. The team is a member of the American Athletic Conference (The American) in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
