2019 National Premier Leagues
The 2019 National Premier Leagues was the seventh season of the Australian National Premier Leagues association football, football competition. The league competition was played by eight separate state and territory member federations. The divisions are National Premier Leagues ACT, ACT, National Premier Leagues NSW, NSW, National Premier Leagues Northern NSW, Northern NSW, National Premier Leagues Queensland, Queensland, National Premier Leagues South Australia, South Australia, National Premier Leagues Tasmania, Tasmania, National Premier Leagues Victoria, Victoria and National Premier Leagues Western Australia, Western Australia. The winners of each respective divisional league competed in a finals series tournament at season end, culminating in a Grand Final. The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is a national association football competition in Australia which acts as the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. The NPL consists of the highest level state league in each state-based federation within Australia. National Premier Leagues South Australia
The National Premier Leagues South Australia (often abbreviated to NPL South Australia or NPL SA) is a semi-professional football competition in the Australian state of South Australia. The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues, which sits below the A-League on the national pyramid. The competition is controlled by Football South Australia, the governing body for the sport in the state. Clarence United
Clarence United Football Club was an amateur soccer club based in the City of Clarence, Tasmania, which competed in the NPL Tasmania, the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. Founded in 1978 the club spent much of its early history competing in lower divisions, where it has been reasonably successful, winning several lower division titles and cups. Despite this, Clarence United had struggled for many years to attain success at the highest level within the state, although Clarence United was finally crowned state champions for the first time in 2009. At the conclusion of the 2019 season, they merged with Hobart Zebras FC to form Clarence Zebras FC. Launceston City FC
Launceston City Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Launceston, Tasmania. The club was founded in 1957 and currently participating in the Tasmanian NPL Tasmania since 2013, run by the governing body Football Federation Tasmania. The club has over 100 registered players across senior, women and social leagues. The junior club was briefly called "Westside Devils Soccer Club" from 1998 to 2016 and has since changed to Launceston City Devils. Kingborough Lions United Football Club is a semi-professional association football club based in Kingston, Tasmania. Founded in 1998, the club currently competes many leagues including in the NPL Tasmania and the Women's Super League. The club has a large playing group ranging and teams range from juniors, youth academy, and social teams through to high performance men and women's programs. Glenorchy Knights Football Club is an Australian association football club based in Glenorchy, Tasmania. Founded in 1957, the club competes in Australia's second-tier National Premier League, with matches played at KGV Park. History The club was founded in 1957 as Glenorchy Croatia, and experienced almost immediate success, winning the state title for the first time in 1963. Hobart Zebras Football Club (also known as ''Tilford Zebras'' or just ''Zebras'') was an association football club based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. South Hobart Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Hobart, Tasmania. Founded in 1910, the club currently competes in the NPL Tasmania. South Hobart plays home games at South Hobart Ground and also fields teams in all junior divisions, as well as women's teams. Olympia Football Club Warriors, known as Olympia FC Warriors, is a professional association football club based in Hobart, Australia. The club competes in the Southern Championship. 2021 FFA Cup
The 2021 FFA Cup was the eighth season of the FFA Cup, the main national Association football, soccer single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Australia. Thirty-two teams contested the competition proper from the round of 32, including 10 of the 12 A-League Men, A-League teams (with two teams not qualifying), 21 Football Australia (FA) member federation teams determined through individual state qualifying rounds, as well as the 2019 National Premier Leagues champions (Wollongong Wolves FC, Wollongong Wolves from New South Wales).
