The 2019 Nashville SC season was the club's second and final season both as an organization and as a member in the USL Championship. Nashville Soccer Club is a Major League Soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team began play in the league in 2020 as a continuation of the USL club of the same name and plays its home matches at Geodis Park. It is principally owned by John Ingram, owner of Ingram Industries, along with investors and partial owners the Turner family of Dollar General Stores. History Soccer in Nashville Prior to the arrival of Nashville's MLS team, the city had various soccer teams which played in the lower divisions of American soccer. The most notable teams were the Nashville Metros who played from 1989 until 2012 and Nashville FC, who played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) from 2013 to 2016. The city also hosts two NCAA Division I men's soccer teams, the Belmont Bruins and Lipscomb Bisons. Zakaria Diallo (born 11 August 1986) is a French-Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a defender, who is currently a free agent. Club career Le Havre and Beauvais Diallo started playing football for the reserve team of professional club Le Havre in the Championnat de France amateur, the fourth tier of French football. PNC Field (formerly BBVA Field) is a soccer-specific stadium located in Birmingham, Alabama, United States on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) that has served as the home field for both the UAB Blazers men's and women's soccer teams since its opening in October 2015 as the replacement for West Campus Field. Justin Davis (born May 6, 1988) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Davis was born in Commerce, Michigan. He played his college career at the University of New Mexico where he played mainly as a forward, but was noted for his versatility. Davis led the MPSF in scoring while earning first team all-MPSF accolades. He also earned second team all-Far West Region honors. During his college years Davis also played for Des Moines Menace in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Davis was drafted in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake, but was not offered a contract by the team.
