2019 Malaysia Challenge Cup
The 2019 Malaysia Challenge Cup or Challenge Cup ( Malay: ''Piala Cabaran Malaysia 2019'') is the second edition of Malaysia Challenge Cup tournament organised by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Malaysian Football League (MFL). The 2019 Malaysia Challenge Cup will start with a preliminary round. A total of 7 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into two groups, one group containing four teams and another with three teams. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after four or six matches qualified to the semi-finals. Format The competition will be one involving eight teams-one team from Malaysia Super League (12th placed team), seven teams from Malaysia Premier League (6th to 12th placed teams). However, due to the fact that Perlis were thrown out of the league, there are no teams will be invited into the Challenge Cup to replace them. The Malaysia Challenge Cup ( Malay: ''Piala Cabaran Malaysia'') is a Malaysian football competition held under the auspices of the Malaysian Football League and the Football Association of Malaysia. The tournament was created for Malaysia Super League and Malaysia Premier League teams that did not qualify for the Malaysia Cup tournament through their league standings at the end of the league season. The idea was mooted by Football Malaysia in December 2017 as a solution to inactivity for the teams that did not qualify for the more prestigious Malaysia Cup. Amirul Hadi
Mohamad Amirul Hadi bin Zainal (born 27 May 1986) is a Malaysian former professional footballer who last plays for Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta'zim II and the Malaysian national team as a central midfielder. The Kuala Lumpur Stadium or KLFA Stadium ( ms, Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. State of Sarawak Stadium (''Stadium Negeri Sarawak'' in Malay) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Muhammad Rozaimi bin Abdul Rahman (born 6 October 1992) is a retired Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a striker.
