2019 MLS Homegrown Game
The 2019 MLS Homegrown Game (also known as the 2019 MLS Homegrown Game presented by Energizer for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth edition of the Major League Soccer Homegrown Game. It was held on July 30 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida and saw a team of MLS Homegrowns play against Mexican youth team Chivas U-20s. 2019 Major League Soccer Season
The 2019 Major League Soccer season was the 24th season of Major League Soccer. The regular season began on March 2, 2019 and ended on October 6. The MLS Cup Playoffs began on October 19 and concluded with MLS Cup 2019 on November 10, under a new format that included 14 teams and consisted only of single-match rounds. FC Cincinnati joined the league as an expansion franchise, bringing the total number of clubs to 24. Minnesota United FC opened their first soccer-specific stadium, Allianz Field, on April 13. Atlanta United FC were the defending MLS Cup champions, while New York Red Bulls were the defending Supporters' Shield winners. Mason James Stajduhar (born December 2, 1997) is an American soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for MLS team Orlando City. Career Orlando City On November 9, 2015, Orlando City announced the signing of Stajduhar to a Homegrown contract. He became the club's fourth homegrown player. Prior to his signing, Stajduhar had been part of the club's U.S. Soccer Development Academy Program and was named to the under-18 USSDA East Conference Best XI. Stajduhar was loaned to USL side Louisville City on April 30, 2016, but didn't make an appearance for the club. Stajduhar was loaned out again on March 15, 2019, to USL Championship side Tulsa Roughnecks for their 2019 season. He made his professional debut on March 29 in a 2–1 win over RGV Toros. George Hampton Campbell (born June 22, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a center-back for Major League Soccer club CF Montréal. Career Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Campbell played for Nether United as a kid before his family relocated to Atlanta. He began his career with Georgia United before joining the youth academy at Atlanta United. Andre Reynolds II (born May 2, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a full-back. Aboubacar Kobele Keita (born April 6, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids. Keita was born in New York City but grew up in Ohio, attending Westerville North High School and playing for the Crew SC Academy. Houston Dynamo FC (formerly officially, but still commonly, called the Houston Dynamo) is an American professional soccer club based in Houston. Erik McCue
Erik McCue (born 18 January 2001) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Örebro. Club career Youth McCue spent time in the youth setups for F.C. Bangkok and D.C. United before joining the Houston Dynamo academy in 2017. Upon joining the Dynamo academy, McCue quickly established himself in the program, helping lead the U-17 team to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy playoffs for the 2017–18 season and was named U-17 MVP by the coaching staff.
