The 2019 Kyrgyzstan Cup was the 28th season of the Kyrgyzstan Cup, the knockout football tournament in Kyrgyzstan. The cup winner qualifies for the 2020 AFC Cup. The draw of the tournament was held on 13 May 2019. Preliminary round The preliminary round was played on 17 May 2019. Round of 16 The round of 16 was played on 29 May 2019. Quarter-finals The quarter-finals were played on 3 July 2019. Football Club Alga Bishkek ('' ky, Алга Бишкек Футбол Клубу, Alğa Bişkek Futbol Klubu'') is a Kyrgyz professional football club based in Bishkek, that competes in the Kyrgyz Premier League, the top flight of Football in Kyrgyzstan. The club plays its home games at Dynamo Stadion. History Alga Bishkek were established in Frunze during 1947, as FC Zenith Frunze. At the end of the 2005 season, the club, now called ''FC SKA-Shoro Bishkek'', folded. In 2007 the club was reformed as ''FC Aviator AAL Bishkek'', but last only half a season before ceasing operations. The 2019 Keurgeuz Premier Ligaseu ('' ky, 2019 Кыргыз Премьер Лигасы'') or 2019 Kyrgyz Premier League was the 28th season of the Kyrgyz Premier League, Kyrgyzstan's top division of association football organized by the Football Federation of Kyrgyz Republic. Jalal-Abad (also spelled Dzhalal-Abad, Djalal-Abat, Jalalabat; ky, Жалал-Aбат, ''Calal-Abat/Jalal-Abat'', جالال-ابات, ) is the administrative and economic centre of Jalal-Abad Region in southwestern Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek
Bishkek ( ky, Бишкек), ), formerly Pishpek and Frunze, is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is also the administrative centre of the Chüy Region. The region surrounds the city, although the city itself is not part of the region but rather a region-level unit of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is situated near the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border. Its population was 1,074,075 in 2021. In 1825, the Khanate of Kokand established the fortress of Pishpek to control local caravan routes and to collect tribute from Kyrgyz tribes. On 4 September 1860, with the approval of the Kyrgyz, Russian forces led by Colonel Apollon Zimmermann destroyed the fortress.
