2019 Italian GT Championship
The 2019 Italian GT Championship was the 28th season of the Italian GT Championship, a grand tourer-style sports car racing competition founded by the Automobile Club d'Italia, Italian Automobile Club (ACI). The championship consisted of four sprint race events and four endurance race events. Each sprint race event consisted of two races. The season started on 5 April in Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, Monza and ended on 18 October at the same circuit. Italian GT Championship
The Italian GT Championship (''Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo'') is an Italian sports car series founded in 2003 and organized by the Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) and the Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (CSAI). It replaced a previous supercar-based championship which ran from 1992 until 2002 when it was folded due to a lack of entrants. The series borrowed heavily from the international FIA GT Championship in its first few seasons, although additional entries from Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Supercup, and Maserati Trofeo competitors were allowed. Following the 2006 season, the top GT1 class was dropped from the championship, leaving competitors in the GT2, GT3, and GT Cup classes. Andrea Larini
Andrea Larini (born 2 December 1968) is an Italian auto racing driver. He is the younger brother of fellow racing driver Nicola Larini. Vito Postiglione
Vito Postiglione (born 28 February 1977 in Potenza) is an Italian racing driver. Racing career Postiglione won the Italian Renault Mégane Winter Trophy in 1998. He then finished runner-up in the main series in 1999. He went one better, winning the trophy the following year. Naturally, he moved up to the Renault Clio Sport Eurocup and was runner-up in his first season in 2001. The following season was not so good for Postiglione, finishing fifth. He finished third in 2003 and also won his class in the annual Vallelunga 6 Hours in a BMW M3. After finishing fourth in the Clio Eurocup in 2004 he moved to the Italian Ferrari Challenge for 2005. He finished 3rd in 2005, was runner-up in 2006 and won the series in 2007. James Pull
James Pull (born 5 October 1999) is a British-Malaysian racing driver currently competing in the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe with W Racing Team. He made his single seater debut in Formula 4 in the 2015 MSA Formula Championship, driving for JTR and Fortec Motorsport before joining Carlin Motorsport for the 2016 season. In 2017, again with Carlin, he was Vice Champion and Rookie Champion in the 2017 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship. In 2018 he achieved five wins in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Championship, on his way to Vice-Champion in both Asia and the Middle East championships as well as becoming the first British driver to win a Super Trofeo race in Europe. Alessandro Zanardi
Alessandro "Alex" Zanardi (; born 23 October 1966) is an Italian professional racing driver and paracyclist. He won the CART championship in 1997 and 1998, and took 15 wins in the series. He also raced in Formula One from 1991 to 1994 and again in 1999; his best result was a sixth-place finish in the 1993 Brazilian GP. He returned to CART in 2001, but a major crash in the 2001 American Memorial resulted in the amputation of his legs. Alexander Sims (born 15 March 1988, in London) is a British professional racing driver, currently competing in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship for Mahindra Racing. Jesse Kurki-Suonio (born 3 September 1990), more commonly known as Jesse Krohn, is a Finnish professional racing driver, and BMW Motorsport works driver. He is notable for winning the Finnish, Northern European Zone (NEZ) and Estonian Formula Renault championships. Marius Zug (born 6 February 2003) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for Winward Racing. Career Karting Marius Zug began karting in 2013. In 2017 he became Junior champion in the ADAC Kart Masters. In the fall of 2017 he tested Formula 4 cars but decided to stay in karting for 2018. BMW M6 GT3
The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the BMW 6 Series, 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2018 (with a break from 1990 to 2004).
