The year 2019 was the 26th year in the history of the K-1, an international kickboxing event. The year started with K-1: K’Festa 2. Minoru Kimura
is a Brazilian kickboxer of Japanese and Italian descent, fighting out of Fighting Kairos Gym. He is the former K-1 Super Welterweight champion. He has faced several notable fighters of his weight division such as Kaew Fairtex, Hideaki Yamazaki, Yasuomi Soda, Masaaki Noiri, Massaro Glunder and Hiroya. Yuta Murakoshi is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the former K-1 Featherweight and RISE Bantamweight champion. As of November 2021, he is the #5 ranked bantamweight in the world according to Combat Press. He was ranked in the strawweight top ten by Combat Press between May 2019 and February 2020, and in the bantamweight top ten between July 2018 and November 2018. , better known as , is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Japan. As of July 2021, he is the #7 ranked Bantamweight according to Combat Press. He's been ranked since May 2019. Kickboxing career Koji lost to Taiga by decision in June 2017. In February 2017, Koji fought Mohamed Boulef for the ISKA World Lightweight title. He beat Boulef by unanimous decision. Hisaki Kato
is a Japanese-French professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer who most recently competed in Bellator's Middleweight division. A professional MMA competitor since 2013, he has also competed for Rizin. Background Born and raised in Paris, Kato's father was a Japanese judoka who moved to Paris to pursue a career teaching the martial art, and become one of the top instructors in the country. However, he died when Kato was only a few years old. Kato's mother is French. Growing up, Kato pursued judo but favored the striking techniques of traditional Japanese martial arts such as karate. Sina Karimian (born 23 January 1988) is an Iranian kickboxer. He currently competes in K-1, where he is the current K-1 Cruiserweight Champion. Kickboxing career Karimian participated in the 2018 K-1 WORLD GP Cruiserweight (−90 kg) Tournament. He beat OD.KEN in the quarter finals with a fourth-round TKO. In the semi finals he defeated K-Jee with a unanimous decision. He won a majority decision against Boubaker El Bakouri with a majority decision to become the inaugural K-1 Cruiserweight champion. Yasuhiro Kido ( ja, 城戸康裕; born December 25, 1982) is a Japanese kickboxer, currently competing in the super welterweight division of K-1. A professional competitor since 2003, he is the 2008 K-1 World MAX Japan tournament winner and the 2017 K-1 Super Welterweight Grand Prix runner-up. Yuta Kubo
is retired Japanese lightweight kickboxer. He won the Japanese national tournament of K-1 at Lightweight in 2011. In June 2020, Kubo announced his retirement from kickboxing, and transition into coaching at his own gym: "PURGE TOKYO". He's also announced his desire to box. Hirotaka Urabe is a retired Japanese kickboxer. He was the 2015 K-1 Super Featherweight Grand Prix winner, as well as the inaugural and two time Krush Super Featherweight champion. As of December 2020, he was the #10 ranked Super Flyweight, according to Combat Press. is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the inaugural and former two time K-1 World GP 2016 -60kg World Tournament Champion. As of December 2020, he is the #10 ranked Super Bantamweight according to Combat Press, first entering the rankings in September 2020. He was ranked in the bantamweight top ten by Combat Press between April 2018 and August 2020. His older brother Hirotaka Urabe is also a professional kickboxer, they fought against each other twice.
