2019 Chinese Super League
The 2019 Ping An Chinese Football Association Super League () was the 16th season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League. The league title sponsor was Ping An Insurance. The season began on 1 March and ended on 1 December. Shanghai SIPG were the defending champions. The policy regarding foreign players and U-23 domestic players was modified for this season. The same as the previous two seasons, at least one domestic player who is under the age of 23 (born on or after 1 January 1996) must be in the starting eleven. However, the total number of foreign players appearing in a match is no longer related to the total number of U-23 domestic players. A club can register four foreign players at most in the same time and use three foreign players at most in a match. On the other hand, at least three U-23 domestic players must be used in a match. China League Two
The Chinese Football Association Division Two League (Simplified Chinese: 中国足球协会乙级联赛), or China League Two, is the third tier league of the People's Republic of China. The league is under the auspices of the Chinese Football Association. Above the League Two is the premier league - the Chinese Super League and the League One. The league below China League Two is the Chinese Champions League. There are two groups in League Two, northern and southern. The top four teams from each group enter the promotion play-off after each regular season. Harbin Songbei Yiteng and Chongqing F.C. reached promotion play-off final in 2011 and the two clubs were promoted to League One. Yu Dabao
Yu Dabao (; born 18 April 1988) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan. Club career Yu Dabao started his football career playing for second-tier side Qingdao Hailifeng and was soon called up to the Chinese under-17 national team. With the under-17 side, he played well during the 2004 AFC U-17 Championship and was quickly regarded as one of the best prospects in China due to his aerial and counterattacking abilities. This saw many clubs reportedly interested in the Yu including Ajax, Newcastle United, and Rangers; however, he joined Benfica on a three-year deal. In his debut match, only five days and three training sessions after he arrived in Portugal, Yu scored three goals and assisted a fourth in a reserve match against Portimonense. Pavel Viktorovich Matyash (russian: Павел Викторович Матяш; born 11 July 1987) is a Kyrgyzstani footballer who plays for FC Alga Bishkek of the Kyrgyz Premier League and the Kyrgyzstan national football team. Career Matyash started his career as a third-string goalkeeper for Dordoi Bishkek, appearing in cup matches. In July 2015, Matyash signed for Maldivian side Maziya S&RC on a contract until 12 November 2015, with the option of an extension. In February 2016, Matyash signed a one-year contract with Malaysian UiTM FC. 2019 AFC Asian Cup Group C
Group C of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup took place from 7 to 16 January 2019. The group consists of South Korea, China PR, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines. The top two teams, South Korea and China PR, along with third-placed Kyrgyzstan (as one of the four best third-placed teams), advanced to the round of 16. South Korea was the only former champion in the group, having won both 1956 and 1960 editions. The Philippines and Kyrgyzstan both made debuts in the tournament. Guangxi Pingguo Haliao Football Club () is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the China League Two. The team is based in Pingguo, Baise, Guangxi. History On February 27th, 2018, the club was founded by Baoyun Real Estate Development Co. in Liuzhou as Guangxi Baoyun F.C.. Participating in the provincial Guangxi Super League for its first time, the club managed to win the entire championship by beating Liuzhou Ranko in the finals, and secured a spot in the 2018 Chinese Champions League. In this new conquest, they finished 2nd in the group stage, and advanced to the final play-off stage, facing the giant of the league Chengdu Better City in the round of 16. Wuhan Three Towns Football Club () is a professional football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). Shanxi Longjin Football Club () is a defunct Chinese football club that participated in the China League Two. The team was based in Taiyuan, Shanxi. History Hebei Lion F.C. was founded on November 2, 2015 in the city of Cangzhou, in Hebei Province, and started to participate in China Amateur Football League to aim for promotion to China League Two.
