2019 ISF Men's World Championship
The 2019 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship is an international softball tournament taking place in Prague and Havlíčkův Brod, Czech Republic from 13–23 June 2019. It will be the 16th edition of the tournament. This marks the first time the World Championship was held in Europe. New Zealand is the defending champion. 2017 Men's Softball World Championship
The 2017 ISF Men's World Championship is an international softball tournament that took place in Whitehorse, Canada from 7–16 July 2017. It was the 15th time the World Championship took place and the first time Whitehorse hosted the tournament. Pools composition Officials The ISF appointed 21 umpires from 12 national countries to facilitate matches of the tournament. Bob Stanton from Canada is named Umpire in Chief, and Wayne Saunders and Brian Van Os, both from Canada, were named assistant Umpire in Chiefs. 2022 Men's Softball World Championship
The 2022 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship was the 17th Men's Softball World Championship, an international softball tournament taking place in Auckland, New Zealand from 26 November to 4 December 2022. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand last hosted the tournament in 2013. It will be the 17th edition of the tournament. Argentina were the defending champions, and lost the third place playoff to the United States. Australia defeated Canada 5–2 in the final to claim their second World Cup. Men's Softball World Championship
The Men's Softball World Cup, known through 2015 as the ISF Men's World Championship, is a softball tournament for the best national men's teams in the world. From 1966 to 2013 it was held every four years, first by the International Softball Federation (ISF) and from 2019 an onward it is held every two years by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), the 16 best teams in the world compete. Softball
Softball is a game similar to baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Softball is played competitively at club levels, the college level, and the professional level. The game was first created in 1887 in Chicago by George Hancock. There are two rule sets for softball generally: ''slow pitch softball'' and ''fastpitch''. Slow pitch softball is commonly played recreationally, while women's fastpitch softball is a Summer Olympic sport and is played professionally. Depending on the variety being played and the age and gender of the players, the particulars of field and equipment vary. Havlíčkův Brod
Havlíčkův Brod (, until 1945 Německý Brod; german: Deutschbrod) is a town in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 23,000 inhabitants. New Zealand Men's National Softball Team
The New Zealand men's national softball team (nicknamed the Black Sox/Black Socks) is the national softball team for New Zealand. They have won the ISF Men's World Championship seven times, becoming World Champions in 1976 (1st = with US and Canada), 1984, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2013 and 2017. They also won the inaugural Commonwealth Championships (a round robin tournament between New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, South Africa and Botswana) in 2006.
