The 2019 IPSC Rifle World Shoot II was held in Karlskoga, Sweden between 3 and 10 August. The match consisted of 30 stages over six days, and over 650 competitors Jarkko Laukia from Finland took gold in the Open division, which was the largest division of the match. History Originally, the 2018 IPSC European Rifle Championship was to be held in Karlskoga in the summer of 2018, but had to be postponed to 2019 due to the 2018 Sweden wildfires. After an application to the international association for practical shooting, the Match Category was upgraded to a World Championship, making the match one of the largest shooting competitions ever held in Sweden. The match had a capacity of approximately 750 competitors. Karlskoga is known for being the home town of Nobel Prize founder Alfred Nobel. Villingsberg's shooting range ( sv, Villingsbergs skjutfält) is a military training field outside Villingsberg in Sweden, between Örebro in Karlskoga and Nora in Kilsbergen, on the border between Närke and Värmland. Lanny Barnes
Lanny Barnes (born April 26, 1982) is an American biathlete who has been competing since 2004. Her best World Cup finish was 15th in an individual event in Sweden in 2006. Barnes' best finish at the Biathlon World Championships was 39th in the pursuit event at Pyeongchang in 2009. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Barnes finished 64th in the individual event. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she finished 78th in the 7.5 km sprint event. Barnes was named to the 2014 Winter Olympics on January 12, 2014. The IPSC Action Air World Shoot is the highest level Action Air match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The Action Air World Shoots are currently held triennially on the same cycle as the IPSC Shotgun World Shoots. The first Action Air World Shoot was be held in 2018 at the KITEC Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong. The second Action Air World Shoot was originally to be held in Sochi, Russia. The IPSC Handgun World Shoot is the highest level handgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. The Handgun World Shoots are held triennially on a rotational cycle with the other two main IPSC disciplines Rifle and Shotgun. The IPSC Rifle World Shoot is the highest level rifle match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. Jiro Nihei
Jiro Nihei (born 9 March 1971 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a practical shooter and former professional ice hockey goaltender. In 2019, Jiro Nihei took gold in the Manual Open division at the 2019 IPSC Rifle World Shoot. In 2017 he took Gold in the Manual division at the Nordic Rifle Championship. He has also been competing in the IPSC Production handgun division. His professional ice hockey career began in 1988 playing for AIK IF in the Swedish Hockey League. He then mainly played in the Swedish Division 2 until 2001 when he again played in the top Swedish Hockey League, this time for Djurgårdens IF.
