__NOTOC__ This is a list of the 28 players who earned 2020 European Tour cards through Q School in 2019. 2020 European Tour rookie First-time member in 2020 but ineligible for Rookie of the Year award 2020 and 2021 results Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020 European Tour season, all of the graduates retained the same status in 2021 except Højgaard and Välimäki, who were promoted to the winners category after their victories. In 2021, Q School was cancelled for a second straight year, limiting the normal changes in European Tour membership between seasons. European Tour
The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984. Sami Välimäki
Sami Välimäki (born 16 July 1998) is a Finnish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. On his 6th European Tour start he won the 2020 Oman Open. Amateur career During 2018 Välimäki was selected for the Europe team in the Bonallack Trophy and for the Continent of Europe team in the St Andrews Trophy. He played for the Finnish team that won the 2018 European Amateur Team Championship and represented Finland in the 2018 Eisenhower Trophy. He reached as high as 10th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking during 2018. While still an amateur, Välimäki also played a number of Nordic Golf League events in during 2017 and 2018. Sunshine Tour
The Sunshine Tour is a men's professional golf tour based in Southern and East Africa. For much of its early history it was known either as the South African Tour or Sunshine Circuit; through sponsorship deals, it has also been known as the Vodacom Tour and the FNB Tour. For the 2000–01 season the tour rebranded itself as the ''Sunshine Tour'' in an attempt to broaden its appeal. A large majority of the tour events are still staged in South Africa. Darren Fichardt
Darren Clive Fichardt (born 13 May 1975) is a South African professional golfer who plays on both the European and Sunshine Tours. Early life Fichardt was born in Pretoria and grew up in Centurion, Gauteng. He attended Sutherland High School from 1988 to 1993, where his talent for golf was nurtured. Professional career Fichardt turned professional in 1994 and he won the Southern Africa Tour (now the Sunshine Tour) Order of Merit in 1999/2000 and 2003/04. He partnered Retief Goosen in South Africa's WGC-World Cup team in 2000. Fichardt has played on the European Tour since 2001 and has won four European Tour events. David Coupland (born 16 March 1986) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career In 2010, Coupland won the Tillman Trophy with a record setting score. In 2011, Coupland lost a playoff for the Australian Amateur Stroke Play Championship and represented England at the 2011 European Amateur Team Championship. Bradley Dredge
Bradley Dredge (born 6 July 1973) is a Welsh professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won twice on the tour, the 2003 Madeira Island Open and the 2006 Omega European Masters, both by 8 strokes. He also won the 2005 WGC-World Cup in partnership with Stephen Dodd. Biography Dredge was born in Tredegar. He turned professional in 1996. Dredge attempted to gain his card on the European Tour via the qualifying school in 1995 and 1996, the second time doing sufficiently well to gain a place on the Challenge Tour for 1997. Jonathan Caldwell
Jonathan James Caldwell (born 10 June 1984) is a professional golfer from Clandeboye, Northern Ireland. Amateur career Caldwell attended the University of South Alabama from 2004 to 2008. He competed in the 2007 Walker Cup. Professional career Caldwell played on the 2009 European Tour, but did not perform well enough to retain his card. Pedro Figueiredo
Pedro Figueiredo (born 13 June 1991) is a Portuguese professional golfer. In June 2018 won the KPMG Trophy on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Figueiredo had a successful amateur career. At the age of 12, he represented his country at the 2003 European Boys' Team Championship for the first of seven appearances. He won the Boys Amateur Championship and Irish Amateur Open Championship in 2008. Figueiredo played college golf at the UCLA where he won three events. Sihwan Kim (born December 4, 1988) is an American professional golfer. He plays on the European Tour and the Asian Tour, where he has won two titles. He also plays in the LIV Golf League. Amateur career Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved with his parents to California at a young age.
