2019 Croatian Football Super Cup
The 2019 Croatian Football Super Cup was the twelfth edition of Croatian Football Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the Croatian First League and Croatian Football Cup. The match was played on 13 July 2019 at Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb between 2018–19 Croatian First League winners Dinamo Zagreb and 2018–19 Croatian Football Cup winners Rijeka. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). The Super Cup wasn't held in periods between 1995–2001, 2007–2009, 2011–2012 and 2015–2018. Marin Leovac
Marin Leovac (; born 7 August 1988) is a Croatia, Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left back for NK Osijek. Early career Leovac began his career in July 1997 in Austria with Sportunion Aschbach and signed in March 2001 with USV Oed/Zeillern. After only one year left USV Oed/Zeillern and signed in August 2002 a contract with FK Austria Wien. Club career Austria Wien Leovac spent three seasons playing for the Austria Wien II, before making debut for the first team in 2009/10 season. Mario Šitum
Mario Šitum (born 4 April 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays for Italian Serie B club Catanzaro. Club career Šitum's senior career began when he was promoted from the Dinamo Academy to the first team in 2011, making his first-team debut in the same year in a 3–0 win over Czech side Sigma Olomouc. On 19 February 2011 he started and played 75 minutes in a friendly against NK Istra 1961, which Dinamo won 4–3 at the newly renovated Stadion Aldo Drosina in Pula. His first league appearance came on 26 February 2011 in Dinamo's game against Karlovac. Šitum started the match and scored in the 12th minute, a goal which turned out to be the game winner. Bruno Petković (; born 16 September 1994) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Dinamo Zagreb and the Croatia national team. Early career Petković was born in Metković, Croatia. His father Jakov Petković hails from Metković and his mother Ruža Nižić is a Herzegovinian Croat from Crveni Grm near Ljubuški. Nikola Moro (; born 12 March 1998) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for club Bologna on loan from the Russian Premier League club Dynamo Moscow and the Croatia national team. Iyayi Believe Atiemwen (born 24 January 1996) is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol. Club career Atiemwen started his youth career at Bendel Insurance F.C. before moving to Kayseri Erciyesspor in 2016. Mislav Oršić (; born 29 December 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Süper Lig club Trabzonspor and the Croatia national team. Izet Hajrović (; born 4 August 1991) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Super League Greece club Aris and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
