2019 Copa Paulino Alcantara Final
The final of the second season of the Copa Paulino Alcantara will be contested by Ceres–Negros and Kaya F.C.–Iloilo on 16 November 2019 on neutral ground at the Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan. Background Kaya F.C.–Iloilo are the defending champions of the Copa Paulino Alcantara having won the inaugural tournament in 2018 while Ceres–Negros are the league champions for the 2019 season. Both teams topped their groups in the group stage and advances to the semifinals. This marks the first time Ceres-Negros advances to the knockout stages after failing to do so in the previous tournament. Ceres-Negros overcame Stallion Laguna 4–3 away from home at the Biñan Football Stadium while Kaya–Iloilo won 3–0 over Mendiola at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa, Batangas to secure a berth in the final. Biñan Football Stadium
The Biñan Football Stadium is a track and field and football venue in Biñan, Laguna, Philippines. On October 28, 2015, the Biñan city government and the Philippine Football Federation signed a memorandum of understanding agreeing that the stadium shall be the home stadium of the Philippine women's national football team as well as the national youth teams at least until 2019. The stadium was upgraded in anticipation of its hosting of football matches of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Jovin Hervas Bedic (born June 8, 1990) is a Filipino professional footballer who plays as a forward for Philippines Football League club Kaya-Iloilo and the Philippines national team. Louie Michael Roble Casas (born 12 March 1986) is a Filipino former footballer who last played as a goalkeeper for Kaya–Iloilo in the Philippines Football League. 2019 Philippines Football League
The 2019 Philippines Football League was the third season of the Philippines Football League (PFL), the professional football league of the Philippines. Ceres–Negros are the defending champions. This marks the revival of the Philippines Football League as the league folded after the 2018 season to give way for the Philippine Premier League, intended as a successor league to the PFL, which proved to be short-lived. The 2019 season started on May 25, 2019, and ended on October 19, 2019. Ceres–Negros won their second title on October 12, 2019 by winning over Green Archers United 3–1 with two matches to spare. Stephan Markus Cabizares Schröck (; born 21 August 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Azkals Development Team of the Philippines Football League.
