The 2019 Challenger Banque Nationale de Saguenay was a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the fourteenth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2019 ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. It took place in Saguenay, Quebec, Canada between 21 and 27 October 2019. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Mirjam Björklund (born 29 July 1998) is a Swedish tennis player. She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of World No. 123, achieved on 20 June 2022. Ayan Broomfield (born August 13, 1997) is a Canadian tennis player. Broomfield has won two doubles title on the International Tennis Federation, ITF tour in her career. On April 27, 2015, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 680. On May 4, 2015, she peaked at world number 467 in the doubles rankings.
