The 2019 Cary Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 5th edition of the tournament which was part of the 2019 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Noah Rubin (tennis)
Noah Rubin (born February 21, 1996) is an American former professional tennis player. He is a former Wimbledon junior singles champion, and a former USTA junior national champion in both singles and doubles. After turning pro in 2015, he won four ATP Challenger titles. Rubin also played college tennis for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the 2014–15 season. Entering the year as the ITA No. 1 ranked college freshman, he finished the season as an All-American and the runner-up in the 2015 NCAA singles championship. Petros Chrysochos (Greek: Πέτρος Χρυσοχός; born April 8, 1996) is a professional Cypriot tennis player and a member of Cyprus Davis Cup team. He won his first professional ITF futures tournament in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt without dropping a set which saw him debuting at 860 in the world on the professional ATP world rankings. Chrysochos was a member of the 2018 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship team at Wake Forest University, playing #2 in both the singles and doubles lineups. Dennis Novikov
Dennis Novikov (born 6 November 1993 in Moscow, Russia) is an American professional tennis player born in Russia. He won both the singles and doubles titles at the USTA Boys 18s National Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2012. As a result, he was awarded wild cards into the main draw of the US Open in both singles and doubles. He did not join the UCLA tennis team until March 2012, first competing on March 27.
