2019 Arnold Palmer Cup
The 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup was a team golf competition held from June 7–9, 2019 at Alotian Golf Club, Roland, Arkansas. It was the 23rd time the event had been contested and the second under the new format in which women golfers played in addition to men and an international team, representing the rest of the world, replaced the European team. The international team won the match 33½–26½. Format The contest was played over three days. On Friday, there were 12 mixed four-ball matches. On Saturday there were 12 mixed foursomes matches in the morning and 12 fourball matches in the afternoon, six all-women matches and six all-men matches. 24 singles matches were played on Sunday. In all, 60 matches were played. Each of the 60 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. Mariel Galdiano
Mariel Lancy Galdiano (born June 25, 1998) is an American amateur golfer. At age 13 she was the youngest golfer at the 2011 U.S. Women's Open. Galdiano made the cut at the 2015 U.S. Women's Open. She won her sectional qualifier to earn entry into the tournament. Galdiano is a three-time Hawaii High School Athletic Association champion. Galdiano won the 2015 Canadian Women's Amateur. At the 2017 Summer Universiade (World University Games), Galdiano won the gold medal in the individual event and led the United States to the team gold medal. John Augenstein
John Augenstein (born October 7, 1997) is an American professional golfer. In high school, Augenstein was a Kentucky individual state champion and team state finalist at Owensboro Catholic High School. In college, Augenstein was a first team All-American for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Augenstein earned an invitation to the 2020 U.S. Open (golf), 2020 U.S. Open and 2020 Masters Tournament by finishing runner-up at the 2019 U.S. Amateur. At the U.S. Open, he missed the cut. He was one of two amateurs to make the cut at the Masters and finished tied for 55th. He turned professional shortly after the Masters. The Dallas Baptist Patriots are the 15 athletic teams that represent the Dallas Baptist University, located in Dallas, Texas, in NCAA intercollegiate sports. All of the varsity Patriot athletic teams compete at the Division II level with the exception of the baseball team, which plays in Division I. Kaitlyn Papp (born c. 1998) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career Papp competed for the Texas Longhorns golf team, where she was a two-time First Team All-American.
