2019 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship
The 2019 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship will be the fourth season of touring car racing to be run by the German-based sanctioning body ADAC to the TCR regulations. The series will run predominantly in ADAC's home nation Germany. As a support category to the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship will also take in races in the neighbouring nations of Austria, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. On 20 December 2018 it was announced a partnership between the series' promoter and Auto Sport Switzerland, the Swiss National Sporting Authority, which was going see all 7 rounds of the calendar as part of the 2019 TCR Swiss Trophy which was set to be in its second edition. The TCR Swiss Trophy was set be open to Swiss drivers as well as any driver with valid racing license, issued by Auto Sport Switzerland. 2019 ADAC GT Masters
The 2019 ADAC GT Masters was the thirteenth season of the ADAC GT Masters, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the German automobile club ADAC. The season began on 27 April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, Oschersleben and ended on 29 September at the Sachsenring after seven double-header meetings. Engstler Motorsport is a private German auto racing team based in Wiggensbach, run by driver Franz Engstler. It has competed successfully in the Asian Touring Car Championship and the ADAC Procar Series. It is sponsored by lubricants company Liqui Moly and known officially as Liqui Moly Team Engstler. World Touring Car Championship BMW 320i (2005, 2007) The team made its World Touring Car Championship debut in the end of season 2005 Guia Race of Macau, with two BMW 320is for Hong Kong driver Paul Poon and New Zealander Peter Scharmach. Gabriele Tarquini
Gabriele Tarquini (born 2 March 1962) is an Italian racing driver. He participated in 78 Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on May 3, 1987. He scored a single championship point, and holds the record for the most failed attempts to qualify. He has subsequently raced successfully in Touring Cars, winning the BTCC in 1994, the ETCC in 2003 the WTCC in 2009 and the WTCR in 2018. On 22 November 2009 he won the 2009 FIA World Touring Car Championship title at the age of 47 years and 266 days. This made him the oldest ever world champion in an FIA series, breaking Juan Manuel Fangio's record of being FIA Formula One World Drivers' Champion at the age of 46 years and 41 days in 1957. Jessica Bäckman (born 25 August 1997) is a Swedish racing driver currently competing in the ADAC TCR Germany for Comtoyou Racing. She is the sister of fellow racing driver Andreas Bäckman.
