2018–19 Stanford Cardinal Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represented Stanford University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cardinal, led by third year head coach Jerod Haase, played their home games at Maples Pavilion as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. Previous season The Cardinal finished the 2017-18 season 19-16, 11-7 in Pac-12 play to finish in a three-way tie for third place; this was their most conference wins in a decade (since 2008). They lost in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament to UCLA. They qualified for the NIT beating BYU in the first round, but lost to Oklahoma State in the second round. Jerod Haase
Jerod Albert Haase (born April 1, 1974) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach for Stanford Cardinal men's basketball, Stanford Cardinal men's team of the Pac-12 Conference. Haase played college basketball at the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1993, and then transferred to the University of Kansas to play under Roy Williams (coach), Roy Williams from 1994 to 1997. Haase was a Naismith Award, Naismith and Wooden Award candidate while at Kansas. At Kansas, he only missed two games out of 101 and averaged 12.5 points per game, scoring 1,246 points over the span of his career. He was a member of the Big Eight Conference, Big Eight all defensive team as a Junior (education year), junior, and played at the World University Games in 1995. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. DeLaSalle High School (Minneapolis)
DeLaSalle High School is a Catholic, college preparatory high school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is located on Nicollet Island. History DeLaSalle opened in 1900 and has been administered by the De La Salle Brothers (French Christian Brothers) throughout its history. The school's current president is Barry Lieske, AFSC. Lieske has been an administrator at DeLaSalle since 1982 and has served as principal (chief operations officer) from 1993 to 2012. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Tyrell Terry
Tyrell Nate Terry (born September 28, 2000) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Stanford Cardinal. Terry was selected 31st overall in the 2020 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. He spent one season with the team before he was waived. Terry also played for the Memphis Grizzlies from December 2021 to July 2022. He retired from professional basketball in December 2022.
