2018–19 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's basketball team represented the University of Notre Dame during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Fighting Irish, led by 19th-year head coach Mike Brey, played their home games at Edmund P. Joyce Center in South Bend, Indiana as sixth-year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Previous season The Fighting Irish finished the 2017–18 season 21–15, 8–10 in ACC play to finish tied with Syracuse for tenth place. As the No. 10 seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated Pittsburgh in the first round and Virginia Tech in the second round before losing to Duke in the quarterfinals. Mike Brey
Michael Paul Brey (born March 22, 1959) is an American basketball coach (sport), coach. Currently an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association, he was previously the men's head basketball coach at the University of Notre Dame. Brey served as the coach for 23 seasons from his hiring in 2000 until his resignation at the end of the 2022–23 season. Early life and education Brey, the son of Olympic swimmer Betty Brey, graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland in 1977. As a two-year letter winner under coach Morgan Wootten, Brey helped the team to a 55–9 mark. Prentiss Hubb
Prentiss Charles Hubb (born March 19, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for AEK of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). High school career Hubb attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., where he was teammates with Chris Lykes. As a junior, he averaged 13.8 points and 4.5 assists per game. Hubb earned First Team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) honors and won the WCAC title for his second straight year. Dane Michael Goodwin (born December 28, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Nathan James Laszewski (born July 19, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). He played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. High school career Laszewski played basketball for Avon High School in Avon, Connecticut, where he earned First Team All-State honors. He transferred to Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts. Bonzie Alexander Colson II (born January 12, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL) and the EuroLeague.
