2018–19 MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship
The 2018–19 MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship was the sixth running of the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship. It began on 16 November 2018 at the Dubai Autodrome in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and finished on 10 February 2019 at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai, India. The series comprised 15 races spread across three meetings. The 2018–19 season saw Britain's Jamie Chadwick become the first female champion of the series. MRF Challenge
MRF Challenge is an open-wheel motorsport formula based in India organized by Madras Motor Sports Club. This was India's first and only FIA FIA is the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (English: International Automobile Federation), the world's governing body for all forms of motor sport where four or more wheels are used. Fia or FIA may also refer to: People * Fia Backst ... approved and inscribed international series. This was promoted as a Winter series where young and upcoming racing drivers could get valuable seat and track time during the off-season months in competitive tracks in Asia. This was supported by MRF Ltd in its entirety and was a unique concept of "Arrive and Drive" which meant that the drivers would not have the hassle of making all arrangements. Josh Mason
Joshua Mason (born 19 March 2002) is a British racing driver who is currently racing in the Euroformula Open Championship with CryptoTower Racing. He is of Caribbean and Nigerian descent, and grew up between Sussex and the Cayman Islands. The Madras International Circuit (MIC, previously known as Madras Motor Race Track and Irungattukottai Race Track) is a permanent motor race track, racing circuit located in Irungattukottai, Chennai, India. It was built in the late 1980s and was inaugurated in 1990. It was the first permanent racing circuit in India and is owned by the Madras Motor Sports Club. Sakhir ( ) is a desert area located in the Southern Governorate of Bahrain, near Zallaq. It contains the Al-Sakhir Palace, built in 1870. Bahrain International Circuit
The Bahrain International Circuit ( ar, حلبة البحرين الدولية, Ḥalba al-Baḥrayn ad-Dawliyya) is a motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, GP2 Series (now FIA Formula 2), and the annual Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix.
