2018–19 Liga Nacional De Honduras
The 2018–19 Liga Nacional de Honduras season was the 53rd edition of the Liga Nacional de Honduras, the top football league in Honduras, since its establishment in 1965. The tournament started in July 2018 and ended in June 2019. The season was divided into two halves (Apertura and Clausura), each crowning one champion. F.C. Motagua as winners of both tournaments, qualified to the 2019 CONCACAF League as HON1. Club Deportivo Olimpia as runner-ups and C.D. Marathón as the team with the third best record, also qualified to international contention for next season. 2018–19 teams A total of 10 teams will contest the tournament, including 9 sides from the 2017–18 season plus C.D. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Estadio Juan Ramón Brevé Vargas
Estadio Juan Ramón Brevé Vargas is a soccer venue in Juticalpa, Honduras. It is the headquarters of Juticalpa FC and Olancho FC, both of the Liga de Ascenso de Honduras. It was inaugurated in July 2015. First game The first official game was played on Sunday 9 August 2015 between hosts Juticalpa F.C. and Real C.D. España for the game week two of the 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional season. The match ended with a 2–0 victory for the home team. Reynaldo Antonio Tilguath Flores (born 4 August 1979 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras) is a Former List of Hondurans, Honduran Association football, footballer who last played with C.D.S. Vida, Social Deportivo Vida Club career Nicknamed ''el Chino'', Tilguath spent the whole of his career at C.D. Olimpia, Olimpia, except for a season at city rivals F.C. Motagua and a short spell at Platense F.C., Platense. He returned to Olimpia from Motagua citing never to play for Motagua anymore after a fight with Motagua president Pedro Atala. Ramón Enrique Maradiaga Chávez (born 30 October 1954) is a retired Honduran football player and manager. Club career Nicknamed ''Primitivo'', Maradiaga has played as a midfielder amongst others for F.C. Motagua as well as Salvadoran giants Águila and Alianza. He also had half a season in Europe, playing 15 games in the Spanish Segunda División for Tenerife in 1984. He scored 23 goals in total for Motagua, making him one of the most prolific midfielders in the club's history. He finished his career at Tela Timsa after the 1991–1992 season and took the reins at the club the next season, also changing their name to Petrotela. Puerto Cortés, originally known as Puerto de Caballos, is a port city and municipality on the north Caribbean coast of Honduras, right on the Laguna de Alvarado, north of San Pedro Sula and east of Omoa, with a natural bay. The present city was founded in the early colonial period. It grew rapidly in the twentieth century, thanks to the then railroad, and banana production.
