The 2018–19 División de Honor de Hockey Hierba was the 53rd season of the División de Honor de Hockey Hierba, the highest field hockey league in Spain. The season began on 9 September 2018 and it concluded with the championship final on 19 May 2019 in Terrassa. Real Club de Polo were the defending champions, while Linia 22 and Jolaseta entered as the promoted teams from the 2017–18 División de Honor Masculina B. Club Egara won their 15th title by defeating Real Club de Polo 2–1 in the final. Roc Oliva Isern (born 18 July 1989), also known as "Metra", is a Spanish former field hockey player who played as a midfielder or forward for the Spanish national team. Oliva played most of his career for Atlètic Terrassa HC but from the 2018–19 season onwards he played for Real Club de Polo until his retirement in 2021. He also played for Amsterdam and HGC in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. His father Jordi and sister Georgina are also both Olympic hockey players. He played a total of 189 times for the Spanish national team from 2007 until 2021. A penalty shootout is a method used in field hockey to decide which team progresses to the next stage of a tournament (or wins the tournament) following a tied game. Two methods have been used: the original penalty stroke competition is a best-of-five penalty strokes with sudden death if scores were level after five strokes. An alternate penalty shoot-out competition was introduced at major tournaments in 2011. Santander, Spain
Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain.
