The 2018–19 1. FC Nürnberg season is the 119th season in the football club's history and 33rd overall season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga in 2018. In addition to the domestic league, 1. FC Nürnberg also are participating in this season's edition of the domestic cup, the DFB-Pokal. Bavaria
Bavaria ( ; ), officially the Free State of Bavaria (german: Freistaat Bayern, link=no ), is a state in the south-east of Germany. Hanno Behrens
Hanno Behrens (; born 26 March 1990) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga 1 club Persija Jakarta. Career Behrens began his career with Hamburger SV, breaking into the reserve team in 2008. The following year, he was promoted to the first team, but never made an appearance, continuing to play regularly for the reserves over the next three seasons. In 2012, he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 and made his debut for the club in August of that year, as a substitute for Elton da Costa in a 3–1 defeat to Chemnitzer FC, in which he scored Darmstadt's only goal. In July 2017, Behrens agreed to a contract extension with 1. FC Nürnberg. On 6 May 2018. he scored as Nürnberg won 2–0 against SV Sandhausen to clinch promotion to the Bundesliga. Eduard Löwen
Eduard Löwen (; born 28 January 1997) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club St. Louis City SC. Club career Löwen began his club career with 1. FC Nürnberg in 2016-2017, playing 14 games with the reserve squad and 11 with the primary club in 2. Bundesliga. After three seasons that included the club's promotion to Bundesliga in 2018-2019, Löwen signed with Bundesliga club Hertha BSC for 7 million Euros during the Summer 2019 transfer period. Over the ensuing three seasons, Lowen alternated between games for Hertha BSC and their reserve squad, and loans out to Bundesliga clubs FC Augsburg in 2020 and VfL Bochum in 2021-2022. On 24 June 2022, Löwen signed a contract with MLS club St. Louis City SC, who would begin play in the 2023 season, through the 2026 season with an option for 2027.
