Basketball At The 2018 Commonwealth Games – Men's Tournament
The men's basketball tournament at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on the Gold Coast, Australia from April 5 to 15. The basketball competition was held at three venues: Cairns Convention Centre in Cairns, Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre in Townsville for the preliminaries and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Gold Coast for the finals. This was the second time that the basketball competition was held at the Commonwealth Games. A total of eight men's competed (96 athletes, at 12 per team) in each respective tournament. Venues Three venues in Queensland were used. All seat 5,000 for the basketball competitions. Qualification A total of eight men's teams qualified to compete at the games. At least four out of the six Commonwealth regions were considered to be represented in each tournament, if possible. 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball
The 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball, also known as 7DAYS EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, season was the 16th season of Euroleague Basketball's European professional club basketball system, secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It will be the tenth season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup Basketball, EuroCup, and the second season under the title Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship name of Chipita, 7DAYS. The 2018 EuroCup Finals were played between Darüşşafaka Basketbol, Darüşşafaka and PBC Lokomotiv Kuban, Lokomotiv Kuban, and won by Darüşşafaka, which was their first EuroCup Basketball, EuroCup title. As the winners of the 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball, Darüşşafaka qualified for the European top-tier level 2018–19 EuroLeague season. Alvark Tokyo
Alvark Tokyo is a Japanese professional basketball team located in Tokyo. The team, which is sponsored by Toyota, currently plays in the Japanese B.League. Until 2000, the team was known as the Toyota Pacers. Founded as Toyota Pacers in 1948, the club won two consecutive JBL Super League league titles in 2006 and 2007. In July 2015, it was announced that the team would compete in the first division of the new Japan Professional Basketball League, which commenced from October 2016. Petrochimi Bandar Imam Basketball Club ( fa, تیم بسكتبال پتروشیمی بندر امام, ''Tim-e Beskâtbal-e Petrushimi-ye Bendâr Eman''), also known as shortly Petrochimi, is an Iranian professional basketball club based in Mahshahr, Iran. They compete in the Iranian Basketball Super League. In 2012 they became the first club in Iran to establish a basketball youth academy. History In 2013, under the guidance of Doctor Mehran Hatami, Petro won the Iranian Basketball Super League for the first time in their history after defeating Mahram Tehran in the final. 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup
The 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup was the 27th staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Asia. The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be hosted by China, took place in Thailand from 27 September to 2 October 2018. Games were played at Stadium29 in Nonthaburi. Qualification Starting this year, there are a lot of changes in the qualification leading to the main tournament: * There will be several qualifying rounds spread all across the continent, having the sub-zones scheduled their own qualifiers. * One unique difference is some of Asia's top professional leagues will have their representatives already seeded in the Final Eight.
