Henry Falan
Henry S. Falan is a Micronesians, Micronesian politician and the former Governor of Yap from January 19, 2019, to December 17, 2022. Falan was removed from his position as governor by the Yap State, Yap state legislature. Jesse Salalu, his former Lieutenant Governor, took his place as Governor of Yap. Before governorship Falan first served in Yap District Legislature in 1977. He later served as Director of Department of Education of Yap from 1996 to 2004. In 2007, Falan was elected to the Yap legislature, and he served as its speaker from 2011 to 2014. Yap State, also known in the Yapese language as Nam nu Wa'ab (lit. "Island of Yap") or simply as Wa'ab, is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
