2018 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup
The 2018 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup was the thirteenth edition of the Pacific Nations Cup annual international rugby union competition. All matches for the 2018 tournament, played over two rounds, were held in Fiji at the ANZ National Stadium in Suva. Hosts Fiji and fellow Pacific nations Samoa and Tonga were joined by Georgia who competing for the first time in the tournament. Romania was also initially scheduled to compete for the Cup until Samoa's place in the competition was confirmed in May 2018. Fiji won the tournament with two wins from their two matches played. Tonga and Georgia placed second and third respectively with one win each. Siegfried Fisi'ihoi (born 8 June 1987) is a Tongan professional rugby union player who plays as a prop for Top 14 club Pau and the Tonga national team. Early life Born in Tonga, Fisi'ihoi moved to New Zealand in his teens and attended Rotorua Boys' High School where he initially played his rugby as a number eight. He stayed in the Bay of Plenty after school and was playing for their development side in 2010 when a minor liquor ban breach flagged up that he had overstayed his visa and he was subsequently deported back to Tonga. Salesi Halaleva Lapota Fifita (born 29 July 1989) is a Tongan professional rugby union player who plays as a lock for United Rugby Championship club Connacht and the Tonga national team. Joseph Mark Laifone Tuineau (born 18 August 1981) is a Tonga international rugby union footballer. He plays in the lock position for the France based Pro D2 side, Dax.
