The 2018 WFG Tankard, the Quebec men's provincial curling championship was held from February 4 to 11 at the Glenmore Curling Club in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec. Dollard-des-Ormeaux
Dollard-des-Ormeaux (; commonly referred to as D.D.O. or simply Dollard) is a predominantly English-speaking suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located on the Island of Montreal. The town was named after French martyr Adam Dollard des Ormeaux. The town was merged with the city of Montreal in 2002, and became part of the borough of Dollard-Des Ormeaux–Roxboro. When residents were later offered the option, they chose to leave the city of Montreal, and the town was reinstated as a separate entity in 2006. Name The orthography of the city's name has been adjusted periodically. Originally written as Dollard-des-Ormeaux, it became Dollard des Ormeaux (no hyphens) in 1960, and reverted again to the hyphenated spelling in 1969. Martin Ferland
Martin Ferland (born November 8, 1970) is a Canadian curler from Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Career Born in Drummondville, Quebec, Ferland was a member of the 2007 Quebec champion team, that was skipped by Pierre Charette. Ferland threw last stones for the team. At that first Brier, Ferland's team finished with a 4-7 record. Ferland was also the 1989 provincial junior champion skip. He skipped Quebec at the 1989 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, but lost to Dean Joanisse of British Columbia in the final. Ferland has been one of the more visible Quebec based teams on the World Curling Tour (WCT). During the 2010s, he regularly competed in World Curling Tour events, while other Quebec rinks were less visible. Martin Roy (born February 1, 1974) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He has also run the entirety of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Racing career K&N Pro Series East Roy made one start in the K&N Pro Series East, the season-opening 2013 race at Bristol Motor Speedway, where he started 31st and finished 22nd, a lap down. Canadian Tire Series Roy debuted in 2011, running four races. Running Dodges, he crashed out of his first attempt at Circuit ICAR but did not crash again that season. He recorded a best finish of 13th at Circuit de Trois-Rivieres. Roy jumped to the full schedule in 2012, qualifying for all twelve races, getting his first top-ten, his first top-five, and finishing eighth in the point standings. Simon Dupuis (born c. 1974) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Thurso, Quebec, Thurso, Quebec. Career Dupuis is a former provincial mixed champion, having won the 2008 provincial championship with teammates Isabelle Néron, Jean-François Charest and Marie-Josee Precourt. Jean-Sébastien Roy (born August 14, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Gatineau, Quebec. Career Roy is a two time provincial junior champion, winning in 1995 as the third for Yanick Gaudreault and in 1997 as the third for Philippe Lemay. At the 1995 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, Quebec finished with a 5–6 record. At the 1997 Canadian Juniors, the team finished the round robin with a 7–5 record, in a 5-way tie for 3rd place. They ended up losing their tiebreaker match to the Yukon team, skipped by Wyatt Redlin. Roy won his first provincial men's championship in 2004 as the second for Daniel Lafleur.
