2018 Vietnam Open (badminton)
The 2018 Vietnam Open (officially known as the Yonex-Sunrise Vietnam Open 2018 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Vietnam from 7 to 12 August 2018 and had a total purse of $75,000. Tournament The 2018 Vietnam Open was the sixth Super 100 tournament of the 2018 BWF World Tour and also part of the Vietnam Open championships which had been held since 1996. This tournament was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Badminton Association with the sanction from the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Badminton World Federation
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Ajay Jayaram (born 28 September 1987) is an Indian retired badminton player from Chennai. He plays for the Mumbai Rockets in the Premier Badminton League. Liew Daren (born 6 August 1987) is a Malaysian badminton player. His biggest success to date is having won the 2012 French Open Super Series. He reached a career high ranking of World No.10. He also represented Malaysia competed at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
