2018 UNLV Rebels Football Team
The 2018 UNLV Rebels football team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Rebels were led by fourth-year head coach Tony Sanchez and played their home games at Sam Boyd Stadium. They were members of the West Division of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 4–8 and 2–6 in Mountain West play to finish in fifth place in the West Division. Tony Sanchez (American Football)
Anthony Phillip Sanchez (born January 25, 1974) is an American college football coach and former wide receiver, who is the current wide receivers coach of the New Mexico State Aggies. He was the head coach of the UNLV Rebels from December 8, 2014 until he was fired by UNLV on November 25, 2019. He was previously the head football coach at Bishop Gorman High School. Early life and college playing career Sanchez was born on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, where his father was stationed. Sanchez graduated from Granada High School in Livermore, California in 1992 and began his college football career as a wide receiver at Laney College, a junior college in nearby Oakland. In 1994, Sanchez transferred to New Mexico State University, where he played two seasons with the New Mexico State Aggies. The 2018 Utah State Aggies football team represented Utah State University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Aggies were led by sixth-year head coach Matt Wells during the regular season and played their home games at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium. The 2018 New Mexico Lobos football team represented the University of New Mexico in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference (MW) during 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team played its home games at Dreamstyle Stadium. Centennial Bank Stadium (formerly known as Liberty Bank Stadium) is located on the campus of Arkansas State University and is home to their college football team, the Red Wolves. Whitney, Nevada
Whitney (formerly East Las Vegas) is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 38,585 at the 2010 census. Background Stowell E. Whitney, a dairy farmer from Bunkerville, Nevada, purchased a ranch in the area in the 1910s. The town of Whitney was established in 1931, when Whitney subdivided his ranch due to the construction of the Boulder Highway. Much of this land is now within Henderson city limits.
