Comayagua
Comayagua () is a city, municipality and old capital of Honduras, located northwest of Tegucigalpa on the highway to San Pedro Sula and above sea level. The accelerated growth experienced by the city of Comayagua led the municipal authorities to structure a territorial reorganization plan. Between the years of 1945 -1975 the population of the city quadrupled due to the high rate of population growth achieved at that time (4.8%) and to migratory movements in the interior of the country. In 2020 the estimated population of the city was 111,700. It is the capital of the Comayagua department of Honduras and it is noted for its wealth of Spanish Colonial architecture. Siguatepeque () is a city and municipality in the Honduran department of Comayagua. The city has a population of 73,480 (2020 calculation). History Founded by the Spanish in 1689 as a religious centre for retreats and monastic training, the population of the town grew through the intermarriage of colonists, the indigenous Lencas and the Mexican Nahuatl immigrants. The name Siguatepeque is made up of two words in Nahuatl, ''Cihuatl'': Woman and ''Tepec'':Mount, ''the mount of women''. Siguatepeque is located approximately above the sea level. In 1861, the town became a municipality in its own right, and a city in 1926. Geography Siguatepeque, is situated 1100 metres above sea level and located in the central mountains of Honduras. Central American Football Union
The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (Central American Football Union), more commonly known by the acronym UNCAF, represents the national football teams of Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its member associations are part of CONCACAF. Member associations Competitions Overview The UNCAF organize various competitions. The Copa Centroamericana was played every two years from 1991 until 2017, and usually featured the seven national teams. Costa Rica is the most successful team, winning the tournament eight times. 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2018 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was the 6th edition of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship (27th edition if all eras included), the men's under-20 international football tournament organized by CONCACAF. It was hosted at Bradenton, Florida, United States between 1–21 November 2018. A new format was announced, removing the regional Central American and Caribbean qualifiers and guaranteeing each entrant a minimum of four competitive games. The competition would determine the four CONCACAF representatives at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, The United States, Mexico, Panama and Honduras qualified. It would also determine the CONCACAF teams playing at the 2019 Pan American Games men's football tournament in Lima, Peru. The United States were the defending champions of the competition. Estadio Municipal Carlos Miranda is a multi-purpose stadium in Comayagua, Honduras. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Hispano FC. The stadium holds 10,000 people. History The stadium was proposed by Comayagua mayor Carlos Miranda with the objective of promoting athletics among young people and attracting tourists to the city. The stadium was financed with funding from the national government, loans from the private sector, and municipal resources and collections. It was designed by the firm "Perspectives Arquitectonicas."
