2018 Troy Trojans Football Team
The 2018 Troy Trojans football team represented Troy University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Trojans played their home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama, and competed in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They were led by fourth-year head coach Neal Brown. They finished the season 10–3, 7–1 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for the East Division championship with Appalachian State. Due to their head-to-head loss to Appalachian State, they did not represent the East Division in the Sun Belt Championship Game. They were invited to the Dollar General Bowl where they defeated Buffalo. Previous season The Trojans finished the 2017 season 11–2, 7–1 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for the Sun Belt championship. Neal Brown
Neal Brown (born March 11, 1980) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at West Virginia University. Brown was previously the head coach at Troy University from 2015 to 2018. Brown also previously served as the offensive coordinator at Troy (2008–2009), Texas Tech University (2010–2012), and the University of Kentucky (2013–2014). Early years Brown attended Boyle County High School in Danville, Kentucky, where he was an all-state wide receiver. He played football at the University of Kentucky under head coach Hal Mumme and his assistants, Mike Leach and Tony Franklin, before transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. 2018 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team
The 2018 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by first-year head coach Scott Frost and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. They competed as members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. After Nebraska's season opener against Akron was canceled due to inclement weather, the Cornhuskers began the season with six straight losses, the worst start in program history. The 2018 Boise State Broncos football team represented Boise State University during the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This season was the Broncos' 82nd season overall, fifth under head coach Bryan Harsin, eighth as a member of the Mountain West Conference and sixth within the Mountain Division. Damion Willis
Damion Lakeith Willis (born June 20, 1997) is an American football wide receiver for the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Troy and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Early life and high school Willis was born Jackson, MS, and moved to Meridian, Mississippi at the age of 2. He was raised by a single mother who worked as a hospice nurse. Willis attended and played football at Southeast Lauderdale High School. He registered at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his final three seasons playing for the Tigers.
