The 2018 Toronto FC II season was the fourth season in the club's history. The team finished 16th in the Eastern Conference, missing the playoffs. After the season, Toronto FC II voluntarily moved from the second division United Soccer League to the third division USL League One. Roster Players ''As of June 7, 2018.'' The squad of Toronto FC II will be composed of an unrestricted number of first-team players on loan to the reserve team, players signed to TFC II, and TFC Academy players. Toronto FC II is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Toronto, Ontario, who play in MLS Next Pro, a third tier league of the United States soccer league system. It is the reserve team and minor league affiliate of Toronto FC as well as in partnership with Toronto FC Academy. History Pre-history Upon their entrance into Major League Soccer, Toronto FC fielded their reserves in the MLS Reserve League from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, Toronto FC entered into a one-year partnership with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL to serve as their affiliate, with whom they would loan players to. Drew Shepherd
Drew Shepherd (born December 25, 1994) is an American professional soccer player. Career College & Youth Shepherd played college soccer at Western Michigan University between 2014 and 2017, including spending a year as a redshirt in 2013. While with the ''Broncos'', Shepherd made 60 appearances and contributed 29 shutouts. During his time in college, Shepherd also spent time with Premier Development League side Michigan Bucks. Anthony Osorio (born April 13, 1994) is a Canadian professional soccer player who last played as a defender and midfielder for the Mississauga MetroStars in the Major Arena Soccer League. Club career Osorio attended St. Edmund Campion where he represented the school team, having grown up in Brampton, Ontario. He was part of the team that won the school's second and third Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association Championship in four years. Sacramento Republic FC is an American professional soccer team based in Sacramento, California, that plays in the Western Conference of the USL Championship, the second level in US soccer. Co-founded by Warren Smith and Joe Wagoner in 2012, the team started play in 2014 at the 20,231-seat Hughes Stadium, before moving midseason to their current home at Heart Health Park. Mitchell Taintor (born September 11, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays as a defender for San Antonio FC in the USL Championship. Career Youth Prior to his collegiate career, Taintor represented New England Revolution's youth set-up. Brandon Onkony (born 2 December 1997) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a defender. Rio Grande Valley FC, also known as RGVFC or Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, is an American semi-professional soccer team based in Edinburg, Texas operated by Lone Star, LLC.
