The 2018 Ovo Energy Women's Tour, is the fifth staging of The Women's Tour, a women's cycling stage race held in the United Kingdom. Coryn Labecki ( née Rivera; born August 26, 1992) is an American racing cyclist of Filipino descent, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . As of June 2018 Labecki has won 72 national titles, taking her first elite level national championship with the 2014 USA National Criterium championships. and her most recent, the Elite Women's Road Race USA national title, in June 2018. Atherstone
Atherstone is a market town and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England. Located in the far north of the county, Atherstone is on the A5 national route, and is adjacent to the border with Leicestershire which is here formed by the River Anker. It is only from Staffordshire. It lies between the larger towns of Tamworth and Nuneaton. Atherstone is the administrative centre of the North Warwickshire district, with the offices of North Warwickshire Borough Council located in the town. King Of The Mountains
The King of the Mountains (KoM) is an award given to the best climbing specialist in a men's cycling road race; in women's cycle racing, Queen of the Mountains (QoM) is used. While the title may be given to the rider who achieves the highest position over several designated climbs in a single-day road race, it is more usually applied to stage races (for example, the Grand Tours, Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España, and smaller races like the Tour of California) where points are accumulated over the duration of the whole race. In the Tour de France, where it is officially known as the Mountains classification, at the top of each significant climb, points are awarded to the riders who are first over the top. The climbs are categorised from 1 (most difficult) to 4 (least difficult) based on their steepness and length. Points Classification
The points classification is a secondary award category in road bicycle racing. Points are given for high finishes and, in some cases, for winning sprints at certain places along the route, most often called ''intermediate sprints''. The points classification is the top prize for many cycling sprinters and is often known as the sprint classification; however, in some stage races these classifications are based on different criteria. The points classification is arguably the second most important title and cycling jersey to win at a cycling stage race behind the general classification, which is the winner of the event by overall time. General Classification
The general classification (or the GC) in road bicycle racing is the category that tracks overall times for riders in multi-stage races. Each stage will have a stage winner, but the overall winner in the GC is the rider who has the fastest cumulative time across all stages.BBC Sport http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/tour_de_france/378101.stm Hence, whoever wins the GC is generally regarded as the winner of the race. Riders who finish in the same group are awarded the same time, with possible subtractions due to time bonuses. Two riders are said to have finished in the same group if the gap between them is less than three seconds. A crash or mechanical incident in the final 3 kilometres of a stage that finishes without a categorised climb usually means that riders thus affected are considered to have finished as part of the group they were with at the 3 km mark, so long as they finish the stage. Lotta Pauliina Henttala (née Lepistö; born 28 June 1989) is a Finnish racing cyclist, who rides for Finnish amateur team Henttala Development Team. She has won the Finnish National Road Race Championships seven times, consecutively between 2012 and 2018. Career She competed in swimming and triathlon alongside cycling in her youth, before focusing on cycling after becoming Finnish Under-16 road racing champion. She competed in the 2013 UCI women's road race in Florence. She qualified to represent Finland at the 2020 Summer Olympics, but did not compete due to pregnancy. Colwyn Bay ( cy, Bae Colwyn) is a town, community and seaside resort in Conwy County Borough on the north coast of Wales overlooking the Irish Sea. It lies within the historic county of Denbighshire. Dolgellau
Dolgellau () is a town and community in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, lying on the River Wnion, a tributary of the River Mawddach. It was the traditional county town of the historic county of Merionethshire ( cy, Meirionnydd, Sir Feirionnydd) until the county of Gwynedd was created in 1974. Dolgellau is the main base for climbers of Cadair Idris and Mynydd Moel which are visible from the town. Amalie Dideriksen (born 24 May 1996) is a Danish road and track cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career She won the junior women's road race at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014 as well as a bronze medal in the scratch race at the 2013 UCI Juniors Track World Championships. In both 2014 and 2015, she won the Danish national road race championship and in 2015, she also won silver in the women's omnium at the European Track Championships. Dideriksen participated in the women's omnium at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Ranking 9th after the flying lap, she surprised everyone by winning the points race thus elevating her to an overall 5th place.
