2018 Sunshine Ladies Tour
The 2018 Sunshine Ladies Tour was the 5th season of the Sunshine Ladies Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women based in South Africa. The season offered a purse of R4,450,000, plus a 100,000 incentive for the Investec Property Fund Order of Merit winner. Ashleigh Buhai
Ashleigh Ann Buhai ( née Simon, born 11 May 1989) is a South African professional golfer, who won the 2022 Women's Open, one of the major championships in women's golf. Amateur career Buhai had a successful amateur career. She was the youngest player to win the ladies’ South African Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play double. She represented her country in the mainly professional Women's World Cup of Golf three times while still an amateur. Professional career Buhai turned professional the day after her 18th birthday. She won the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters, which was her third event as a professional. Dimension Data Ladies Challenge
The Dimension Data Ladies Pro-Am is a women's professional golf tournament held in Western Cape, South Africa. It is an event on the Southern Africa-based Sunshine Ladies Tour since 2014, played concurrently with the men's Dimension Data Pro-Am on the Sunshine Tour. The professional golfers are teamed with an amateur and together they compete for the Dimension Data Ladies Pro-Am trophy. They compete using the Better Ball Medal scoring system with the amateur handicaps taken into account. Except for 2015 when the event was hosted at Oubaai Golf Resort & Spa, the tournament has been played over three days on two different golf courses, the first two rounds at George Golf Club, with the third and final round at Fancourt Hotel and Country Club. Sunshine Tour
The Sunshine Tour is a men's professional golf tour based in Southern and East Africa. For much of its early history it was known either as the South African Tour or Sunshine Circuit; through sponsorship deals, it has also been known as the Vodacom Tour and the FNB Tour. For the 2000–01 season the tour rebranded itself as the ''Sunshine Tour'' in an attempt to broaden its appeal. A large majority of the tour events are still staged in South Africa. Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. First played in 1996 it is the second oldest professional women's golf tournament in South Africa, after the South African Women's Open founded in 1988. Nobuhle Dlamini (born 6 November 1991) is a Eswatini professional golfer playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She reached No. 2 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings in 2013 and is the first female professional golfer from her country. Early life and amateur career Dlamini's path in golf began at age 12 when her father, Johannes Dlamini, introduced her to the game. He was a self-taught golfer and learned as a caddie at Royal Swazi Sun Country Club.
