2018 PFF Women's League
The 2018 PFF Women's League season is the second season of the women's national league of the Philippines following the 2016–17 season. The organization of a second season for the league was reported as early as July 2018. Ten clubs participated for the second season which will run from August 25 to November 11 2018, with De La Salle Zobel and Tuloy F.C. making their debuts. The University of Santo Tomas and the De La Salle University played against each other in the ''de facto'' final on November 11, 2018 where the latter won 2–1 over the former. Format The league followed a single round robin format for the second season. Matches are to be played on weekends. The primary venue for the league's matches is the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona, Cavite with the Rizal Memorial Stadium designated as an alternate venue. PFF Women's League
The PFF Women's League (PFFWL) is the top-flight of women's association football in the Philippines. History To follow up with the PFF Women's Cup which was launched in 2014, the PFF Women's League was launched on November 5, 2016, by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The competition became the first to follow a league format following the folding of the Pinay Futbol League in 2013 and became the first women's domestic league in the country. The league sanctioned by PFF as an amateur league as part of ''FIFA's Women's Development Project'' for the Philippines. Prior to the league's establishment, the primary competition for women's football in the Philippines was the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). UP Lady Booters
The UP Fighting Maroons are the varsity women's football team of the University of the Philippines. They compete at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top-flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. The team was also among the participants of the Philippine Ladies' Football National League, which was organized by the Philippine Ladies' Football Association in 1981. UP clinched the league title besting Philippine Air Force. The team also participated at the 2015 PFF Women's Cup where they fielded two teams, namely University of the Philippines-X and University of the Philippines-Y. The team won its first UAAP title in Season 78 in 2016 under the watch of their head coach, Anto Gonzales who also led the men's UP team to a football UAAP title. The FEU Lady Tamaraw Booters are the varsity women's football team of the Far Eastern University. They compete at the UAAP Football Championship, University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. By winning UAAP Season 76, Season 76 of UAAP in 2014 which is their ninth title, the FEU Lady Tamaraws became the collegiate team in the UAAP to have the most titles in women's football. The Younghusband Football Academy Inc. (TYFA) is a football academy based in the Philippines. A women's football team from the academy participated in the 2016–17 season of the PFF Women's League, the top flight women's football league in the Philippines.
