2018 Nicholls Colonels Football Team
The 2018 Nicholls State Colonels football team represented Nicholls State University as a member of the Southland Conference during the 2018 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Tim Rebowe, the Colonels compiled an overall record of 9–4 with a mark of 7–2 in conference play, sharing the Southland title with Incarnate Word. Nicholls State received the Southland's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Football Championship, beating San Diego in the first round before losing to Eastern Washington in the second round. The team played home games at John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The Southland Conference, abbreviated as SLC, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States (specifically Texas and Louisiana). It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland sponsors 18 sports, 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of athletic and academic administrators. Yulman Stadium is the on-campus venue for football at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. 2018 Tulane Green Wave Football Team
The 2018 Tulane Green Wave football team represented Tulane University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Green Wave played their home games at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, and competed in the West Division of the American Athletic Conference. They were led by third-year head coach Willie Fritz. They finished the season 7–6, 5–3 in AAC play to finish in a three way tie for the West Division championship. David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium is a football stadium located in Lawrence, Kansas, on the campus of the University of Kansas. The 2018 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Jayhawks 129th season. Christopher J. Thompson (born May 19, 1982 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former NFL and CFL cornerback. He is currently cornerbacks coach for the Nicholls Colonels. Millsaps College is a private liberal arts college in Jackson, Mississippi. It was founded in 1890 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. History The college was founded in 1889–90 by a Confederate veteran, Major Reuben Webster Millsaps, who donated the land for the college and $50,000.
