2018 MPBL Playoffs
The 2018 MPBL playoffs, also known as the MPBL Anta–Rajah Cup playoffs, was the postseason tournament of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League's inaugural 2018 season. This was the league's first postseason tournament, and the only tournament under the eight-team format. It began on March 20, 2018, three days after the regular season, and ended on April 10, 2018 where the Batangas City Athletics beat the Muntinlupa Cagers in the 2018 MPBL Finals. Batangas City Athletics
The Batangas City Embassy Chill is a professional basketball team currently competing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and the Filbasket. The team traces its roots to the original Tanduay Rhum Masters that played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1987 and again from 1999 to 2001. Batangas City, just as the original Tanduay team, is owned and affiliated with Tanduay Distillers. As part of the MPBL, the team is based in Batangas and has played its home games at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum, Batangas State University Gym and De La Salle Lipa Sentrum Gym. ABS-CBN Sports And Action
ABS-CBN Sports and Action (stylized as ABS-CBN Sports+Action or simply S+A or S and A), was a free-to-air television network based in Quezon City. Dean Paulo Villegas Hubalde (born January 24, 1981) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Davao Occidental Tigers of the Pilipinas Super League. He is the son of one of the greatest shooters to ever play in the PBA, Freddie Hubalde. Paulo plays the guard position. Quezon City MG, previously known as the Quezon City Capitals, are a professional basketball team in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. The team is owned by former First District Representative Onyx Crisologo, with the support of Niño Dionisio and Conrado Gicanal and the Quezon City Government. Chito M. Jaime (born October 21, 1983) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. He also previously played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Player profile Jaime combines strength and power with athleticism, and a nose for the ball. He also has a smooth stroke from long range. A good fast break finisher and back court defender, Jaime is extremely competitive and plays hard offensively and defensively. The Navotas Uni-Pak Sardines were a professional basketball that last played in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The team was one of the MPBL's charter teams and is the only one currently inactive. The team played its home games at the Navotas Sports Complex. Harold Miguel Davis Arboleda (born September 9, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the 1Munti Emeralds of the Pilipinas Super League. He was drafted 20th overall in the 2014 PBA draft by Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. College career In 2012, he was the Perpetual Help Altas starting small forward. Despite standing just 6 feet 3 inches, Arboleda emerged as the team’s top rebounder. Arboleda averaged 5.9 rebounds, along with 6.2 points and 2.1 assists in 21.8 minutes per game. Juneric "Jong" Davalos Baloria (born June 3, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Batangas City Embassy Chill of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
