2018 Los Angeles Rams
The 2018 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 81st in the National Football League (NFL), their 82nd overall, their 52nd in the Greater Los Angeles Area and their second under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams were the NFC Champions, finishing with a record of 13–3, improving on their 11–5 record from the 2017 season. The team won its first eight games of the season (its best start since 1969) before losing to the Saints in Week 9. NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. The division was formed in 1967 as the National Football League Coastal Division, keeping with the theme of having all of the league's divisions starting with the letter "C." The division was so named because its teams were fairly close to the coasts of the United States, although they were on opposite coasts, making for long travel between division rivals. The 1979 season was the Los Angeles Rams' 42nd season in the National Football League (NFL), their 43rd overall, and their 34th in the Greater Los Angeles Area. It was the final season for the franchise in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum until 2016, as late owner Carroll Rosenbloom previously announced the Rams would move to Anaheim Stadium for the 1980 season. The Rams won their seventh-consecutive NFC West title in 1979, and went to the Super Bowl for the first time. The 1978 Los Angeles Rams season was the team's 41st year with the National Football League and the 33rd season in Los Angeles. They improved on their 10–4 record from last year and finished 12–4. The Rams won their sixth straight division title and appeared in the NFC Championship game, losing 28–0 at home to the Dallas Cowboys. The Los Angeles Rams season was the team's 32nd year with the National Football League and the 24th season in Los Angeles. The Rams were coached by fifth-year coach George Allen. This season saw the Rams attempting to improve on their 10-3-1 record from 1968, in which they barely missed the playoffs by a game. The Rams improved on that record by a mere game, finishing 11-3 and winning the Coastal Division and qualifying for the playoffs.
