The 2018 Liga 2 was the second season of the Liga 2 under its current name, and the ninth season under its current league structure. PSS won the title after a 2–0 win over Semen Padang in the final at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong on 4 December 2018. Overview Player regulations Clubs could register at least 18 players and a maximum of 30 players without age restriction like the previous season, but maximum 3 players over the age of 35 years. Liga 2 (English: ''League Two'') is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by PSSI. Before 2017, this competition was named the Liga Indonesia Premier Division (from 1994 to 2007, it was the top-tier division in the Indonesian football league system). Persatuan Sepakbola Biak dan Sekitarnya, commonly known as PSBS Biak, is an Indonesian football club based in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua, Indonesia. The club currently plays in Liga 2. The 2018 Liga 1, also known as Go-Jek Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons, was the second season of Liga 1 under its current name and the ninth season of the top-flight Indonesian professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2008. The season started on 23 March 2018 and ended on 9 December 2018. Fixtures for the 2018 season were announced on 10 March 2018. Bhayangkara were the defending champions. Stadion Pakansari is an all-seater stadium at Pakansari, Cibinong, Bogor, West Java in Indonesia. It is mostly used for football matches and is the home stadium of Persikabo 1973. Persebaya won the title after a 3–2 win over PSMS in the final at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung on 28 November 2017. Overview Player regulations Starting this season Liga 2 was an under-25 tournament (born on or after 1 January 1992), with a maximum of five overage players allowed. The top two teams from each group qualified for the next round, while teams ranked fifth and below were relegated to the Liga 3.
