2018 LKL Finals
The 2018 LKL Finals was the championship series of the 2017–18 season, of the LKL. The finals series were scheduled from 9 June until 18 June 2018. Due to home court advantage, Žalgiris played Game 1, 3 and 5 at home. Žalgiris defeated Lietuvos rytas , earning the franchise its 20th LKL championship. Brandon Davies was named the Finals MVP. Venues The Žalgiris Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The arena is located on an island of the Nemunas River. It is the largest indoor arena in the Baltics. The arena's maximum possible seating capacity for basketball games is 15,552, and 20,000 spectators for concerts (when the stage is in the middle, and 17,000 when stage is in the side of the arena). The Žalgiris Arena replaced the Kaunas Sports Hall as a major venue in the city. The Siemens Arena, located in Verkiai elderate of Vilnius, is the second largest arena in Lithuania. BC Žalgiris
Basketball Club Žalgiris ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Žalgiris) is a professional basketball team that is based in Kaunas, Lithuania, and competes domestically in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL, Lithuanian Basketball League). Founded in 1944, it is one of the oldest teams in the EuroLeague. Žalgiris is one of 11 European clubs to hold long-term licenses with the EuroLeague, which provides a guaranteed place in the regular-season phase of this league. Since the 2011–12 season, Žalgiris plays its home games in Žalgiris Arena, which was built just before EuroBasket 2011. Siemens Arena
Avia Solutions Group Arena, located in southern part of Verkiai elderate of Vilnius, is the second largest arena in Lithuania. It generally hosts basketball games as well as concerts. The arena opened on October 30, 2004. The basketball club Rytas Vilnius, which currently competes in the domestic LKL, and in FIBA Champions League, uses the facility for all of its European home fixtures. Travis James Peterson (born May 18, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Lietuvos rytas of the Lithuanian League. Rokas Giedraitis (born August 16, 1992) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Baskonia of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He plays at the small forward position. Kevin Joseph Pangos (born January 26, 1993) is a Canadian-Slovenian professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague.
