2018 Inter-Provincial Trophy
The 2018 Inter-Provincial Trophy was the sixth edition of the Inter-Provincial Trophy, a Twenty20 cricket competition that was played in Ireland. It was held from 18 May to 8 July 2018. It was the second edition of the competition to be played with full Twenty20 status. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions. They won the tournament, with five wins from their six matches. Points table The following teams competed: Fixtures As with the Inter-Provincial Championship, and Inter-Provincial Cup, the Inter-Provincial Trophy, Ireland's national T20 provincial competition, operated as a home and away round robin. Unlike the previous two competitions, however, a fourth provincial team, Munster Reds took part, meaning each team had six fixtures in total. Stormont (also known as Civil Service Cricket Club) is an international and first-class cricket ground in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the grounds of the Stormont Estate, the seat of government in Northern Ireland, and is the home of Civil Service North of Ireland Cricket Club. Shane Charles Getkate (born 2 October 1991) is a South African-born Irish cricketer. Getkate was born with Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome, which caused him to collapse on field during an under-19 game in June 2011. Pembroke Cricket Club
Pembroke Cricket Club was founded in 1868 and is located at Sydney Parade, Park Avenue, just outside the old village of Sandymount in the prosperous Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge. The grounds were part of the lands of the Pembroke Estate from which the club took its name. In 1983, the club bought out the ground from the Estate and now is the joint owner in conjunction with Monkstown Football Club. The Club fields six men's teams in league and cup competitions. Players have included Frank Malin, bowler and first man to hold the position of chairman of the Irish Cricket Union. Harry Hill, Master of the High Court, kept wicket from 1947 to 1977.
