2018 ICC Awards
The 2018 ICC Awards were the fifteenth edition of ICC Awards. The voting panel took into account players' performance between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018. The announcement of the ICC World XI Teams, along with the winners of the men's individual '' ICC'' awards, was made on 22 January 2019. The women's awards were announced on 31 December 2018, with Smriti Mandhana winning the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award as the Women's Cricketer of the Year. Virat Kohli became the first cricketer in history to win all three major awards. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli (; born 5 November 1988) is an Indian international cricketer and former captain of the India national cricket team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Kohli plays as a right-handed batter for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League and for Delhi in domestic Indian cricket. India National Under-19 Cricket Team
The Indian Under-19 cricket team represents the nation of India in cricket at Under-19 level. The team has won five Under-19 World Cups and has the best win percentage in ODIs (77%) among all Under-19 national teams. The team has won the Under-19 World Cup five times and finished runners-up thrice. In 2000, they won it under the captaincy of Mohammad Kaif, in 2008, they won it under Virat Kohli's leadership, in 2012 under Unmukt Chand, in 2018 under Prithvi Shaw, and in 2022 under Yash Dhull. One Day International
A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A, limited-overs competition. The international one day game is a late-twentieth-century development. The first ODI was played on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Mohammad Abbas (cricketer)
Mohammad Abbas (born 10 March 1990) is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for Pakistan national cricket team and for Southern Punjab domestically. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The International Cricket Council (ICC) named Abbas as one of the five breakout stars in men's cricket in 2018. Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah (born 6 December 1993) is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team in all formats of the game. Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises.
