The 2018 Guangzhou International Women's Open is a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 15th edition of the Guangzhou International Women's Open, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2018 WTA Tour. It took place in Guangzhou, China, from September 17 through September 22, 2018. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Zheng Saisai
Zheng Saisai or Zheng Sai-Sai (; born February 5, 1994) is a Chinese tennis player. She won one WTA singles title (at the Premier level 2019 Silicon Valley Classic), five WTA doubles titles, and reached the final of the 2019 French Open in doubles with compatriot Duan Yingying. Zhu Lin (; ; born 28 January 1994) is a Chinese tennis player. On 31 October 2022, Zhu reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 58, while on 24 February 2020, she reached her best WTA doubles ranking of 103. Deniz Khazaniuk ( he, דניז חזניוק; born 24 October 1994) is an inactive Israeli tennis player. Sabine Katharina Lisicki (; born 22 September 1989) is a German professional tennis player. Lisicki turned professional in 2006, and her breakthrough came in 2009 when she reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships, and also won her first title on the WTA Tour, at the Family Circle Cup. In March 2010, she suffered an ankle injury at the Indian Wells Open that kept her out of competition for five months and saw her fall out of the top 200. Vania King (born February 3, 1989) is an American former tennis player. A former top-ten doubles player, King won both the Wimbledon and US Open women's doubles titles in 2010 with partner Yaroslava Shvedova, with whom she also reached the final of the 2011 US Open.
