2018 Gator Bowl
The 2018 Gator Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 31, 2018. It was the 74th edition of the Gator Bowl, and one of the 2018–19 bowl games concluding the 2018 FBS football season. Sponsored by the financial technology company TaxSlayer, the game was officially known as the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, after four seasons without "Gator" in the bowl name. Teams The game featured the NC State Wolfpack from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Texas A&M Aggies from the Southeastern Conference (SEC); the teams had never played each other. This was Texas A&M's second Gator Bowl and NC State's fourth. NC State Wolfpack NC State received and accepted a bid to the Gator Bowl on December 2. TIAA Bank Field
TIAA Bank Field is an American football stadium located in Jacksonville, Florida, that primarily serves as the home facility of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) and the headquarters of the professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Cullen Gillaspia (born May 12, 1995) is an American football linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M. Early years Gillaspia attended and played high school football at James E. Taylor High School. College career Gillaspia walked on to the Texas A&M team as a linebacker. Kellen Louis Mond (born June 22, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). Floyd Douglas Little (July 4, 1942 – January 1, 2021) was an American professional football player who was a halfback for the Denver Broncos, initially in the American Football League (AFL) and later the National Football League (NFL). The 1966 Gator Bowl was a college football postseason bowl game that featured the Tennessee Volunteers and the Syracuse Orangemen. Background The Volunteers had finished fifth in the Southeastern Conference, with an 11–10 loss to #3 Alabama being especially damaging. Nevertheless, they were invited to their second straight bowl appearance, the first time they had made consecutive bowls since 1956–57. This was the first Gator Bowl for either team.
