Kolomna Speed Skating Center
The Kolomna Speed Skating Center (Russian: Коломенский центр конькобежного спорта) is a 6,150-seat indoor speed skating oval in Kolomna, Russia, also known as the Kometa Ice Rink. It opened in May 2006. It cost €150 million to build the venue. The venue hosted the 2008 European Speed Skating Championships in January 2008 as well as World Cup events in 2007, 2009 and 2013. Haralds Silovs
Haralds Silovs (born 7 April 1986) is a Latvian long track and former short track speed skater, who became the 2008 and 2011 European champion in short track. He has participated in three Winter Olympics. In 2018, he finished fourth at speed skating 1500 metres event. During the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he gained worldwide media attention after competing in the 1500 m short track, and 5000 m long track speed skating events in the same day, 13 February. He is the first athlete in the history of the Winter Olympics to compete in both short track and long track events at the same Games and the only athlete to compete in two different disciplines on the same day. Zbigniew Marcin Bródka (; born 8 October 1984) is a Polish speed skater and a 2014 Olympic champion in 1500 metres. He also works as a firefighter in the State Fire Service station in Łowicz. Personal life Bródka was born in Głowno, Poland, on 8 October 1984. Since 2009, he has worked as a firefighter in the State Fire Service ( pl, Państwowa Straż Pożarna) station in Łowicz.
